Ashanti Shequoiya Doug, also called Ashanti was born on 13 October of 1980, at Glen Cove New York United States. She is an American singer songwriter. Ashanti was famous when she was when she was a teen. In 2002, she signed with Murder Inc. Records. That same year, she appeared in Fat Joe's What's Luv? The singer also featured on the Fat Joe's hit song"What's Luv!" and the Ja Rules' track Never on Time, both of which became huge hit songs.
